What exactly is Jets 'N' Guns?

Jets 'N' Guns is a side-scrolling shoot em' up, released in 2004 by Czech game developer Rake In Grass.

The game is unique in many ways, whether it be the upgrade based gameplay, the steampunk artstyle, or the SID Metal soundtrack by Machinae Supremacy, and has since gained a small fanbase, both in and outside the Czech Republic.

In 2006, Rake In Grass released an expansion to JnG, titled Jets 'N' Guns Gold which added more ships, levels, and slightly overhauled the story. This version is the "current" version of Jets 'N' Guns that's being sold on Steam.

In 2018, a sequel, titled Jets 'N' Guns 2 entered early access, with Machinae Supremacy returning to compose the soundtrack again. JnG 2 oficially left Early Access in 2021.
